    • Xanthoxylum essential oil is another wonder oil from high in the Himalayans of Nepal. Xanthoxylum armatum, syn Zanthoxylum, a bushy shrub between elevations of 1000 and 1200m bears fruits that are wildcrafted then dried before steam distillation.

    • Emotionally Xanthoxylum has a soothing scent to diffuse at bedtime or when kicking back to unwind from a stressful day. An exquisite oil that assists meditation and is very soothing to the nerves.

    • Being rich in linalool, and also containing limonene, methyl cinnamate and cineole, it is used in the fragrance and flavor industry
    • Used as a flavouring agent in the confectionery industry and in the manufacture of soft drinks. Also used in the pharmaceutical and perfumery industries.
  • Traditional uses
    • Himalayan healers use Xanthoxylum essential oil mainly for respiratory conditions and to improve vocal quality by stimulating and moisturizing the larynx.
